Description
B8M SS 316 Studs:
Type 316 steel is an austenitic chromium-nickel stainless steel that contains between 2 and 3% molybdenum. The molybdenum content increases corrosion resistance, improves resistance to pitting in chloride ion solutions, and increases strength at high temperatures.
Low-carbon versions, such as 316L or 304L, have carbon contents below 0.03% and are used to avoid corrosion problems.
